Mostly I’m just a Mom with two amazing kids and a loving husband. I have a full-time job in the non-profit sector. I care about the world, the people in it, and the environment, but mostly the children. I’ll always work to make the world safer and more healthy for all children. I read to my kids every night. My husband makes me laugh and smile and feel loved. I value education. I value handmade over corporate. I shop locally. I believe in sustainability. I’m inspired by art and craft. I love microbrews and watching Little League Baseball. I am Tania, and I am a storyteller. I tell stories by scrapbooking and working in my Art Journal. I tell stories so that my children will know what is in my heart and in my dreams. I have a lot of dreams.
I love to craft
I’ve always been interested in crafting, and it’s always been a great way for me to express myself. But I never became a real serious crafter until I found a community of people who digitally scrapbook. From there I gained a lot of confidence in sharing my artist self and have branched out in many ways since.
I love to scrapbook
I began scrapbooking shortly after my marriage in 1998 with basic papers and a computer. From the very beginning I used my skills on the computer to complete pages by making stickers with clip art and journaling with my favorite fonts that I would spend hours collecting. Shortly after my son’s birth I began learning html to make a family webpage. While searching for “safari” clip art to include on my son’s page, I found Digital Scrapbooking in March of 2005 and have never looked back.

I love making a mess
I love hybrid (digital and traditional methods) scrapbooking. I love the smell of the glue, taking something created on a computer and making into something I can touch and feel and hold.
I love my art journal
This year I’ve embarked on a new creative journey of art journaling. Inspired by my friends, I am participating in the Art Journal Carvan at Scrapbookgraphics.com. We get weekly inspiration. It’s way too much fun.
I love to knit
The best way to learn to knit is by watching videos on YouTube and Knittinghelp.com. Seriously, if I can do it, so can you!
I wish I could sew
I am the worst hand-stitcher in the world, really, I am. I am in awe of anyone who can sew two pieces of fabric together.
I love cheesecake
Finding new cheesecake recipes and trying them out is a once a month adventure for me. Probably not good on my waist-line, but neither is the beer I love.
